The ART Share Stichting (“Art Share”) is a foundation established in 2022. It is an independent legal entity and registered under Dutch law and has non-profit status. The aim of the foundation is limited to the statues of the foundation and in specific, it governs the best interest of the shareholders of each Issuer listed on the ARTEX MTF and to ensure sound governance and practices to enhance the transparency to the market. It acts as a founder to existing and new issuer companies whose shares will be admitted to trading on the ARTEX MTF. 


Below are the Board of Trustees representing the ART Share:


Rena Neville

Rena Neville, Director of Art Share Stichting 

Rena Neville, Director of Corinth Consulting Ltd and lead Art Market Consultant for FCS Compliance Art Division. Rena benefits from a unique combination of art world and international legal and business experience built on a 30-year career at Sotheby’s, where she was the first Global Compliance Director, as well as other roles such as European General Counsel and Global Head of Litigation. Before joining Sotheby’s, she was an associate in New York City at the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell. She is a frequent writer on money laundering regulations in the art market and provides art market AML assistance to art market participants and start ups such as art related blockchains. She currently lives and works in London.


Jeroen van der Woord


Jeroen van der Woord, Director of Art Share Stichting

Jeroen van der Woord has 30 years of experience in the corporate structuring and service industry, with main focus on the America's and Europe. After 10 years working abroad, Jeroen returned to the Netherlands to reorganize a small Dutch firm as COO. The reorganization resulted in a management buy-out and in 4 years' time, the company doubled in size with a strongly improved profitability. The company was then sold to one of the largest Corporate Service Providers globally. In 2010 Jeroen ended his activities for this group and since that time he is involved with various projects as consultant. His specific field of expertise is the compliance function within the Business Support and Corporate Services industry and the interaction between compliance and the business operations.



Nicolas Edwards

Nicolas Edwards, Director of Art Share Stichting

With almost 40 years of experience, Nicolas Edwards has been active in all aspects of capital market activities and company structuring in London, Paris, South Africa and Luxembourg. Commencing his career with SG Warburg Securities on the London Stock Exchange, he started one of the very first equity hedge funds in Luxembourg in the late 1990’s. He acts as an independent advisor to several family offices and sits on their boards in Luxembourg. He continues to advise African focused SMEs on capital raising activities in both private and public markets. He is a director of Petrorio Luxembourg Trading, the leading Brazilian oil independent, and advises on their trading activities. He is an avid art collector with a predilection for paintings of the inter war period.
